Job Summary

The Assistant Bursar assists the Bursar in carrying out the school’s financial and administrative functions and may act on behalf of the Bursar when required:

The successful applicant should have:

 An Associate Degree in Business Studies, Business Administration Accounting, or related field

  • Certification in Payroll or related Accounting discipline
  • Knowledge of the Government Procurement and Accounting guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites
  • Three (3) years’ experience in financial administration and management
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a similar capacity preferably in a tertiary institution

CAPE HISTORY & CARIBBEAN STUDIES LECTURER – SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 – APRIL 30, 2027 (8 MONTHS)

The successful candidates MUST possess:

  • A Masters Degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the related discipline
  • Teacher Training Certification
  • Five (5) years’ teaching experience in a government institution or an institution recognized by the Government of Jamaica

ALL LECTURERS MUST POSSESS THESE KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a genuine interest in helping students, and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching using a blended approach
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Must be highly self-motivated
