All successful candidates MUST possess:
- A Masters Degree from a recognized institution
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the related discipline
- Teacher Training Certification
- Five (5) years’ teaching experience in a government institution or an institution recognized by the Government of Jamaica

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a genuine interest in helping students, and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching using a blended approach
- Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
