MBCC Research Day, A Success for Tertiary Education

The Montego Bay Community College (MBCC) is very proud to announce a successful Research Day 2025, celebrated under the theme “Celebrating 50 Years: Advancing a Culture of Research and Innovation.” This is a win not only for us as a College but for the industry of Tertiary Education.

Using the words from our esteemed Principal Dr. Darien Henry; Research Day 2025 was an inspiring and engaging event, showcasing a diverse range of presentations from both esteemed researchers and our talented students. The discussions had covered topics at the intersection of academia, industry, and societal needs, emphasizing our role in advancing innovation, sustainability, and collaborative problem-solving.

The Office of Research had indeed achieved its main objectives for that day, which is:
  1. Promote Knowledge Sharing: Providing a platform for researchers to exchange ideas and innovations.
  2. Inspire Research Engagement: Encouraging students,
educators, and other stakeholders to embark on meaningful
    research journeys.
  3. Foster Collaboration: Strengthening connections among
academia, industry partners, and the wider community.
  4. Drive Impact: Highlighting the role of research in solving
real-world challenges and shaping future advancements.
